MINE OF DIAMONDS FOUND

The discovery of a mine in Cameroon has people living in the area hopeful that proceeds from taxes collected on the products from the mine will assist in improving the lives of people who live in the area, most of whom are not within a convenient distance to basic amenities such as hospitals, power and schools. A South Korean company has been given the okay to extract the diamonds from the mine and will pay a tax on them before they are sent to various jewelry manufacturers who will insert the diamonds into things like wedding rings and other diamond laden pieces of jewelry.
